Dr. Julie Rockwood Zakreski has been the Pediatric Psychologist at Monmouth Pediatric Group for more than 25 years. Born and raised in the Boston area, Dr. Zakreski attended undergraduate college at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and then graduate school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. While at U.Va., Dr. Zakreski studied School/Clinical Child Psychology, with minor concentrations in Developmental Psychology and Learning Disabilities. She has worked as a school psychologist, and worked at CPC Behavioral Healthcare and at Monmouth Medical Center prior to joining MPG in October of 1984. She is married to Dr. Rick Zakreski, also a local child psychologist, and has three children: Matt, Laura and Katie. All three children will be pursuing advanced degrees in psychology. Dr. Zakreski has interest and experience in dealing with ADHD, Aspergers, Anxiety and Depression, Behavior Management, and other adjustment issues.
